Welcome to The Gentle Way Academy.
Judo is a Japanese Martial Art, founded by Professor Jigoro Kano. The word ‘JU-DO’ means ‘Gentle Way‘.

TIMES
Judo lessons take place at Pebble Rock Golf Estate Club House on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Ages 4-7: 17:30-18:15 (45mins, once a week)
Ages 8-13: 18:15-19:15 (60mins)
Ages 14 & Older: 18:15-19:45 (90mins)
FEES
Yearly membership and term lesson fees:
Yearly Membership Fee: R300
Ages 4-7: R350 per month
Ages 8-13: R650 per month (R1000, 2 siblings; R900, 2 siblings with 1 in 1st class and 1 in 2nd class)
Ages 14 & Older: R750 per month (R1150, 2 siblings; R1100, 2 siblings with 1 in 2nd class and 1 in 3rd class)
*Fees @ Pebble Rock include classes at schools we currently teach at.
*Pay for 2 siblings and third sibling trains for free.
Judo is a yearly activity. This contract includes December and will therefore expire on 31 December 2025.
We ask that you please give one month’s notice, if possible, may your child/children be stopping Judo lessons.
Please note, fees are due on the 1st of each month for that month.
Clothing
Judokas (Judo Players) usually wear Judo suits called a ‘judogi’, however we do allow learners to participate in something confortable, tracksuit pants and a t-shirt. Should you wish to purchase a judogi for your child, please contact Sensei Kyle.
