Welcome to The Gentle Way Academy.
Judo is a Japanese Martial Art, founded by Professor Jigoro Kano. The word ‘JU-DO’ means ‘Gentle Way‘.

Judo lessons take place at the school on Tuesdays.

Lesson Times:
08:00-08:30 – Skills, Grade R, 1 & 2
08:30-09:15 – Grade 3 – Matric

FEES

Yearly membership and term lesson fees:

Yearly Membership Fee: R300
Skills, Grade R, 1 & 2: R750 per term (30 mins)
Grade 3 to Matric: R900 per term (45 mins)
* For three or more siblings, please enquire about the family rate.
* A pro-rata fee will be charged when joining during the term.

Judo is a yearly activity.

We ask that you please give one month’s notice, if possible, may your child/children be stopping Judo lessons.

Please note, fees are due on or before the first lesson of each term.

Clothing

Judokas (Judo Players) usually wear Judo suits called a ‘judogi’, however we do allow learners to participate in their Phys-ed clothing or school tracksuit. Should you wish to purchase a judogi for your child, please contact Sensei Kyle.
